Imagine, writing whenever the muse strikes you, while living like a rouge off of
the profits from your last book.
That's what happens to people who's books get published and sold through Amazon!
You can make it happen!
How would your life change?
Would you be writing at anchor, on secluded bays of the Caribbean, editing plot
lines from stone balconies overlooking Eastern Europe or developing characters
at a coffee shop under the Eiffel Tower.
Your life can change drastically!
When paydays consist of hotel rooms with secured Internet connections for
tapping your PayPalTM
account to buy yet another fat stack of travelers checks, the world is your
oyster!
Maybe that's not your goal as a published author.
Is contentment for you being curled up on your own couch watching embers
smoldering on the hearth, while you finish up yet another how-to-manual on your
laptop?
Is the definition of safety the knowledge that
profits from the last book will put braces on your daughter, buy hockey
equipment for your son, with more than enough left over to build the sun room
for your plants, come this spring!
Or...
Maybe your idea of success doesn't include travel or security as long as royalty
checks allow you to practice your art. Maybe you don't give a damn about the
profits and would be happy to chain yourself to a dimly lit desk, in a back
closet writing page, after page, after page, fueled only on coffee, cigarettes,
and brandy. Happiness is for schmucks and you don't care as long as you
can write whatever the hell you want! Your motto being work now, and leave the
royalty checks for a headstone!
For Those Already Writing And Making A Living:
Even if you are making a living now by getting paid for your writing, and even
if you have been blessed with getting your own byline on a website, magazine or
a news paper article that you have written... Does it still seem unfulfilling?
Has the thrill of having your very own book to point to, eluded you thus far?
Imagine the difference in your life being able to say, simple off the cuff
phrases like "oh you can find my book on Amazon", could make to your
social, economic and possibly even your sex life.
I'm am not kidding! Your life will change exponentially as soon as you get a
book published.
Having a published book, you can point to, on a resume, or at a cocktail party
or even at a weenie roast will open doors for you, that you frankly may not even
have known existed!
If you don't have a book published what can you expect:
Have you told someone you are a writer or that you are trying to be a writer
recently?
How did that work for you?
Even if you've become pretty successful in the freelance arena, do eyes soon
glass over whenever you try to describe how you make a living.
What are they thinking?
If you're a fiction writer, you can probably very easily guess what's going on
in their minds.
If you say you're a writer but don't have a book to point to...
You might as well tell them your an actor, dancer or artist! (which translates
into " I drive a taxi now but I've got high hopes that maybe someday...)
These are just some of the reasons that it is just paramount that you
actually get published!
